We made it to our goal of $18,000 just in time for Shabbat so we added a S_T_R_E_T_C_H goal of an additional 18%!  Please help us break the new goal by the break-the-fast.

We are
excited to share that this year's annual fundraiser is a bit different as we support both Food Gatherers and the Back Door Food Pantry. The current economic situation has led to challenges for both of these essential and codependent organizations, as soaring inflation rates not only affect their operational budgets but also put a squeeze on their clients and increase demand for their services overall.

Please help us reach our goal of raising $18,000 for each initiative during the High Holy Days, and together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of those facing food insecurity right here in our own community. These efforts will provide much-needed meals to our neighbors who are struggling right now! We are encouraging our generous donors to contribute to both causes while empowering them to choose where their heart lies as this is not a dueling fund drive and is instead a unique dual effort. Let's rally together and fight hunger as one!

To donate to Food Gatherers, please click on the DONATE NOW button on the right. If you prefer, you can mail a check or call 734-761-2796. Checks should be made out to Food Gatherers. Please write "Temple Beth Emeth" in the memo line and mail to: Food Gatherers, P.O. Box 131037, Ann Arbor, MI 48113.

In Support of Food Gatherers
Our Mission: Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community.

We rescue local food and leverage state and national food resources for hunger relief. We lead a network of hunger relief providers and engage the public in the fight against hunger. We create and sustain innovative new food programs in response to emerging needs. We recognize that hunger will not be solved through the provision of food alone, so we advocate for policies and system changes to create an equitable food system.
